Rapid Response Mobile Home Infill Program (MHIP)

MHIP PURPOSE

As part of a comprehensive response to Vermont’s housing affordability crisis, compounded by recent flooding, a Mobile Home Unit Task Team (MHU-TT) was assembled to oversee the Rapid Response Mobile Home Infill Program (MHIP) to jumpstart and fast-track Mobile Home lot improvement and home placement within participating Mobile Home Parks to foster affordable homeownership.

MHIP ELIGIBILITY

  • Income Eligible
    • Homebuyer must be at or below 120% of the Area Median Income (AMI)
    • Check the table on this link to see if you are eligible:
  • Ability to Purchase a Home
    • Buyer(s) must be able to purchase the home, which often requires employment, personal savings, and good credit
    • Ability to finance a manufactured home unit within a park setting
    • Pre-Qualification from a financial lender
    • See list of Financial Lenders (coming soon)
  • Primary Residence
    • No second home or rental unit
  • Vermont Resident
    • Must attest to living in Vermont at time of application
  • Park Owner Approval
    • Homebuyer must be able to be accepted as a resident by the Park Owner
  • Preference
    • Flood-impacted households
    • Households experiencing homelessness at time of application
    • First come, first serve
